From the Coast Guard to Fair Winds
Bean began his Coast Guard career aboard USCGC Sweetbriar (WLB-405), followed by assignments at Motor Lifeboat Station Umpqua River, aboard USCGC Mackinaw, at Coast Guard Station St. Clair Shores, and finally aboard USCGC Dorado.
Those years shaped the humor, traditions, grit, and respect for the water behind Fair Winds Clothing. The designs are made for the people who understand early watches, rough weather, long days underway, and the feeling of finally seeing the harbor again.

Fair Winds is an independent, veteran-owned nautical apparel brand based in Florida. Every design starts with a real connection to sailors, fishermen, boat crews, Gulf Coast life, and the old traditions that keep finding their way into new stories.
